October is the new September

If September was THE month for gimmicks, October is THE month of anniversaries.

First is Kaye's (and DJ's kung nag stay pa sya) 3rd TIP anniversary last October 4..

Happy Anniversary Kaye!!!

funny side story: Habang seryoso ang diskusyon kung ano ang bibilihin at sino ang bibili eh tsaka lang napansin na wala pala ang celebrant..Kaye was on leave...hkctr rang....

Second is.....Kaye's Birthday.. since October 12 falls on a holiday.. friends instead joined her on the eve of her birthday for dinner, a cup of coffee mixed with great conversations..

Thursday, the following week, Kaye treated us with a yummy Japanese dinner at UCC. The night would not be complete without us revealing our gift hidden inside a honey stars cereal box.... haha.. while everybody else left their stuff in Meg's car.. Jodie brought along with her a paper bag containing a box.. haha...we were thinking sana di makahalata si Kaye... Jodie on other hand wanted to give her the box as soon as we started to head out from the parking area... but her restraint prevailed as we waited for Rage to join us so we give it all together..

So what's inside the box: A Lightning McQueen/Cars ID card with her name and TMB inscribed on opposite sites (taught us not to be judgmental di ba She?); A letter from a certain TMB-founder member turned would-be-pilot; and lastly a Kamiseta top with the K insignia.. in Kaye's favorite color (green)... (Finally, we were able to find the perfect shirt after several fittings and fashion debates by JSM)

To cap the night off, Jodie called our would-be-pilot from the Land Down Under for his message for the celebrant and updates for his mates he had left behind. It was really great to hear from you again Manong.

To Kaye, Congratulations and cheers to your new milestones! Thanks again for the treat.

Third's a charm

Last season ended with a bang with Jodie's birthday bash cum concert.. "One night and one more time... Thanks for the memories..." rang in our minds for weeks... even more so when we got lower box seats for FOB's Friends or Enemies One-night concert (much to our dismay.. it became two... what can I say ...."He tastes like you... Only sweeter")

It is just propriate that Jodie start the new season of celebrations..again with a BANG... with her much anticipated 3rd year anniversary...

Reasons to Celebrate...

It's been a while since we had our last TMB gimik. Maybe because Jodie is still recovering from the concert/cum birthday celebration we have thrown. Jodie.. name-meg ka na ba?

Undeniably, the past weeks had been a roller coaster of emotions... anticipation, elation, disappointment, numbness, denial, acceptance and contentment (not necessarily in that order... nor does it apply to everyone in the group).. but all is well and done (for now)... so LET'S CELEBRATE

For what reasons?

Diva Jodie overcoming the.. iba talaga kapag sikat...
Vocalist Rage has finally gotten a new gig..
Captain DJ's first time.... to go snowboarding .. and finished reading book #1 of HP (as of press time he's reading chap 17)

Happy Birthday Jodie!!

First of all, sorry kung nagtampo ka samin:( hehe. it was meant as a surprise. *backgrounder* binigyan namin si Jode ng cake anonymously, having the delivery boy sent the cake himself up to 7th floor. Yung dedication, si Red Ribbon person ang nagsulat. The only trace that we hoped that the cake will be recognized that it came from us was the handwriting from the Happy Birthday I wrote on the balloons. But, fortunate or unfortunate that it was, the balloons popped! So Jodie here did not have any idea, at all.. kung kanino galing, sabi ng IM.. sa SECRET ADMIRER daw. Ayiihiiiii. Hahaha. Anyway yun, sorry Jode. Alam mo naman na nde makakalimutan ng TMB na bigyan ka ng sorpresa. Hehehe. Ikaw pa:P

At ito pa ang isa sa madaming hinanda. Week-long ang preparation, hija. Hehehe! I really hope by this time you get to read this, naiyak ka na sa buong event. Hahaha. As for DJ, well, video-han nalang namin:P Pwede mo rin kaming tawagan, para ikaw nalang ang may gastos. Ganun din naman yun, gagastos ka rin pag kami tumawag. Bwahaha. Kidding.

Missing In Action

ok, here's my first entry in this very active, full of action blog.

Let me start by saying... ang mahal ng sine dito!!! este... I really miss you guys!

It's been more than 3 months since I went out with TMB for a movie, I can't even recall our last movie together... the last thing I can remember is the waiter who danced "birthday mo day" for Sheshe in her birthday at Italianis GreenBelt. (If you want the video, just message me)

Haven't heard much from TMB since I left. It seems like everyone's busy with work and with all the things that's happening in the office. Marga is out for a vacation, Rage is leaving the office soon, and Kaye, She, and Jode will become the bosses in the office. Woooohoooo!!!

O well, let's not be sad, let's change the mood a bit and get this party started, I mean, let's get this blog rolling again! hahaha....

Just some movie stuff here in Aussie land, I admit... in terms of movies.... Loser talaga dito, hahaha... all the movies come in late, except for those international releases like spidey 3 and pirates 3. Shrek 3 will be shown here on June 4 I think, and Oceans 13 on June 14, everything's late here.... that sucks, hahaha...

Movie fares are a booobooo here.... good thing we found a news agency that sells movie tickets for 9 dollars for students, so instead of paying 12-15 dollars (around 500 pesos) we're only paying around 330 pesos.... mahal pa din!!! but the theaters here are nice, they're big and very comfortable.

We kinda formed a Saturday group movie buddies here, hahaha... SMB... hehehe, we watch movies I think almost every saturday, this saturday will be Pirates, then next week Shrek, then Oceans a week after that.... another loser factor is that starbucks is really not that famous here in Aussie, starbucks closes early, only in the city they close late at night, but it's really expensive!!! Tall size is around 4.50 dollars (around 170 pesos). I miss Strawberries and Cream frap!!! huhuhu...

So that's it, my first entry.... just some non-sense stuff... hahaha... in summary.... i just want to say I miss you all!!!

Breaking the silence

It's been quite sometime since the last entry was posted. It's already April and yet there are still a lot left in our to do list. Hahaha on second thought, it aint over till its really over :) Let just hope that our tendency to procrastinate would not hold us down...

Truth is there aren't much happenings in the last months. Our last major gig was when we went to EK to share Jode's first ride at Space shuttle. Heck our last TMB movie is Music and Lyrics and yet we call ourselve movie buffs. Our last dinner was She's birthday treat at Italianni's last Feb.

There are a lot of things that we left unrecorded in this blog. I must admit part of is my much delayed sharing of our photo ops. I hope that we would be able to recall much of them and soon starting writing again.

Maybe all we need is a reason to celebrate.Well I think we have one!!!
All of the TMBers are now blog members... after 10 years. So mates blog on!

I'm sure everyone will agree that despite starting mid-year of 2006, we truly have had the fondest of memories and experiences (as TMB, as OOCL employee, and simply as friends;)). In a few months time, we've:
1. Shot more than a thousand still photographs (thanks to DJ and Marga, our official photographers)
2. Had the one in a million - TMB's funniest video (to date! masusundan pa yun, kala nyo!:P)
3. Been and starred in serious moments and videos (iyakan blues, yung last dinner for the year:( at yung para kay DJ :(()
4. Made conference calls (good luck sa bill natin jode!)
5. Had the best movies and dinner outs (courtesy of everyone. hahaha, masabi lang na nalibre:P mas masaya nga naman lumabas kung libre daba?) in Makati, our official headquarters
6. Been in Gary V's concert (wooohooo! sana next time sa Araneta!)
7. Joined outreach activity for special children
8. Went to Tagaytay!!!

Sobrang daming highlight(s), bawat tao siguro iba-iba yung favorite nila. At meron pa siguro ako na-miss. Pero lahat yun dabest talaga. NAKS. Hahaha. So this year, looking forward naman kami sa:
1. Libre ni Rage (bwahahaha, Jode ikaw na bahala dito:P ay kelangan pa pala ng approval ni Marga:))
2. Wall Climbing sa Powerplant
3. EK (para kay Jode na naman. Hahaha!)
4. More movies
5. More concerts
6. Poker night (courtesy of DJ, hehe volunteer kita:P)
7. Sana may overnight na activity, hehe para totoong WALANG TULUGAN!
8. More "moving" and "inspiring" activities (na parang outreach, naks:P)
9. Post galing kay She at DJ (hindi pwede taga-basa lang noh?:P)

Ayun. Baka may gusto pa kayong gawin, hehehe. Motto ko this year (sana mapanindigan ko, kayo din hehehe), eh maging DOER. Hehe, naks. Let's make things happen;)

Cheers to a better and more prosperous year this 2007! May we have a more meaningful and inspiring year ahead of us. Sana matupad lahat ng mga dreams and wishes natin (pero kelangan maging doer para ma-execute ang mga plans:D) and sana maging mas happy pa tayo sa life natin! Tama si DJ, more movies, dinner outs, love, fun, bondings, gastos, iyakan, food, blessings (uy kinopya ko yun lahat ah!) Hehehe. Let's start the year right (SL bukas hahaha joke).. CARPE DIEM! Seize the day. Live life to the fullest.
